Concrete Sidewalk & Walkway Cost

A new walkway is one of the most affordable concrete projects — but the cost still depends on length, width, finish, and site conditions. Here's what drives the price.

The Basics

Sidewalks and walkways are priced primarily by linear footage and width. A standard residential walkway is typically 4 feet wide. Wider walkways cost more per linear foot. The finish (broom, stamped, exposed aggregate) and site conditions (existing concrete to remove, access, grading) round out the cost.

Cost Drivers

Linear footage and width are the base. Tear-out of an existing walkway adds cost. Sub-base prep for your soil. Finish type — broom is the baseline, stamped and colored add more. Grading and slope for proper drainage. Access — if equipment can't reach the area easily, it's more manual labor.

Why We Quote After the Walk

Like every project, the real number comes after a free on-site walk. We measure the run, assess the soil and drainage, and give you a written quote with everything included — no add-ons later.

What's Included

Every walkway quote includes sub-base prep, proper slope for drainage, control joints to manage cracking, the finish you choose, and integration with your existing driveway, patio, and entry. Cleanup is always part of the job.
