Types of Repairs
Crack sealing — filling hairline and small cracks to prevent water intrusion. Joint repair — fixing or replacing damaged expansion joints. Surface patching — repairing spalling and surface damage. Slab leveling — raising a settled slab (mudjacking or similar). Partial replacement — removing and repouring a section. Full replacement — when repair isn't viable.
What Drives Repair Cost
The scope of damage is the biggest factor. The method — sealing is cheaper than leveling, which is cheaper than replacement. Whether the root cause (drainage, sub-base) needs fixing. Access to the area. And the size of the affected area.
Why We Quote After the Walk
We assess the damage on-site and give you an honest recommendation — repair, replace, or fix the cause first. The written quote breaks down exactly what we'll do and what it costs. If a repair won't hold, we tell you. We don't sell repairs we know will fail.
When Repair Is Worth It
Repair makes sense when the damage is isolated, the slab is structurally sound, and the root cause is addressed. If the concrete is fundamentally failing — widespread cracking, settlement, sub-base loss — repair is throwing good money after bad. We'll tell you which situation you're in.
